About us
Ahhh… who are we? Erin and Kyle are a transplant family that have ended up in Minnesota from the state of Colorado. We love the outdoors, traveling, playing with our dog, Inu (which means “dog” in Japanese) and being with our friends and family.
Erin is a middle school Geography teacher in a suburb of Minneapolis/St. Paul. She loves her job working with hormonal/crazy/funny 13 year olds. If she could do anything in the word, Erin would travel with her students and show them the world. Her belief is that if we only spent a little time experiencing the all cultures and people out there, then we would be a much more peaceful and caring community. Erin is also finishing up her EdD in Educational Leadership at the University of St. Thomas. Hopefully this will open other doors for her passion of travel and diversity.
Kyle works hard as the technical director of the dance department at St. Olaf College. Since both Erin and Kyle are alums of St. Olaf they have a special connection to his place of employment. He does amazing things with lights, sound, and sets, and is an all around hard worker for St. Olaf. He also gets to enjoy one free class a semester at St. Olaf so he is enjoying that perk of working at a top rate college!
Our main focus in life is our family. We have been so blessed to give birth to an incredible little boy, (no bias here- River really is amazing:)) and could not believe our luck when the adoption of Autumn came along. We have an amazing group of family and friends, and and are thankful for the lives we have been given.

I just saw your post on Honestly Adoption. I found the entire story heartbreaking, but refreshingly honest.
