It’s been a year.
It’s been an exact year since we were registered at the Ministry of Women and Children in Nepal. It’s been 1 year since we have had our lives put together in a pretty little binder (twice) just waiting to be given a daughter, granddaughter, soon to be cousin, and sister. It’s been one (1) year.
It’s been 2 complete years since we started this adoption process. Our government took a little longer (well, a lot longer) than we expected for our final paperwork. Who knows, if it would have gotten done quicker than it did, maybe our daughter would be playing with us now, with family and friends surrounding her giving her love and hugs in abundance? Who knows.
But, it’s been one year – of ups and downs, of uncertainty and fear, of hope and love. Dear girl, I will wait one year more if that’s what it takes. And another, and another, and another…
I will keep waiting for you.
(but hopefully it won’t take that long… 🙂 )
