Spunk

If there is one thing this daughter of mine possesses, it’s Spunk.

She is at that year and a half age where she is EVERYWHERE and into EVERYTHING. See pictures below if you don’t believe me:

As you can see, her favorite current past time is climbing. Anything she can climb up, she will. Her only problem is that she can’t get down. Always, after a few minutes of being on top of wherever she may be, she is screaming “MOM!” or “DADEEE!” at the top of her lungs.

Sometimes I just let her sit there for another minute so she can contemplate the fact that if she can get up then she must get herself down. Then I soon see that this idiotic thought is just that, idiotic, and I help her down off the table/counter/etc.

She is also very full of words. She will repeat most anything I say to her, typically in some sort of “loud” manner. (Just like when she is on top of a counter- humph.) She also certainly has her own language going. It is in “Autumn-tongue” where she discusses things such as advanced mathmatics and her thoughts on the upcoming election. Although I havn’t yet deciphered”Autumn-tongue” River seems to be understanding just fine. I can tell that especially since every conversation seems to end in some sort of tussle with Autumn trying to take River down. They must have differing opinions on Romney and Obama. Hm. Guess they haven’t learned the rule about never talking politics or religion.

What am I saying! That doesn’t work in our family anyway.

So, my little year and a half year old girl is doing great. My goal is for her is to NOT follow in her brothers footsteps and get any head injury’s any time soon even though she is an avid climber.

Let’s wait a few years little girl, and we’ll all go do some REAL climbing together. 🙂
